At Iria Press, we keep things simple, human and personal. No portals. No labyrinthine forms. No radio silence.
How to start (it’s easy)
Send us one email.
To: iria.press.uk@gmail.com
Subject line: Consultation – [Your Manuscript Title] – [Your Name]
That’s it for now. Please do not attach your full manuscript at this stage.
Pop these details in the email body
A one-paragraph pitch (what it’s about and why it’s cool).
Fiction or non-fiction, plus genre.
Estimated word count and current draft status.
Who it’s for (target reader/age range).
A line about you (bio, any relevant links).
Optional: first 1–2 pages pasted into the email (no attachments yet).
We publish both fiction and non-fiction and we’re open to most genres. If you’re not sure where your book sits, say so — we love oddballs and crossovers.
What happens next
We’ll reply within 5 working days (Mon–Fri, UK time).
If it sounds like a fit, we’ll invite you to email over sample chapters or the full manuscript (as a PDF or Word doc).
We’ll then chat everything through person-to-person via email — editorial approach, timelines, rights, formats, and our fair-revenue model. No forms disappearing into the void.
Tip: Add iria.press.uk@gmail.com to your contacts so our replies don’t vanish into spam land.
Simultaneous submissions?
Absolutely fine. Just give us a nudge if someone else snaps you up — we’ll cheer for you either way.
Sensitive/AI content notes
Please don’t send anything illegal or harmful.
If AI tools were used, be transparent — it won’t automatically disqualify you, we just like to know.
Other authoring services
Beyond traditional publishing, we also offer on-demand biographies, personalised stories, and other bespoke authoring projects (see our main page). If that’s what you’re after, mention it in your email and we’ll tailor the conversation.
Accessibility & formatting (later)
When we request materials, we’re happy with .docx or .pdf, double-spaced if possible. If you need accessibility adjustments, tell us — we’ll accommodate.
