Hello! We’re Iria Press — a small, family-run publishing company based in the UK, powered by tea, enthusiasm, stubborn optimism, and a deep belief that writers deserve better than the usual industry run-around.
What we stand for
We started Iria Press because we kept hearing the same stories from authors:
“I signed a contract I didn’t understand.”

Our mission is simple: put authors back in control of their work — with fair revenue, clear communication, and a publishing process that actually feels like a collaboration rather than a conveyor belt.

Why “Iria”?
We named our company Iria Press after the ancient Greek word εἰρήνη (eirēnē), which means peace.
Because honestly, in a world running on an endless loop of pings, pop-ups, alerts, opinions, counter-opinions, and “BREAKING NEWS!” banners… what could be more valuable than a bit of peace?
For us, reading is one of the last real frontiers of calm.
It’s a small act of rebellion against the noise: you open a book, and suddenly the world has to wait.
No instant responses. No pressure. Just you, a story, and that rare feeling that your mind finally has space to breathe.
